Stephanie Bowns Receives Nomination for Service Over Self Award

Stephanie Bowns, a dedicated community volunteer, has been nominated for the Service Over Self award in recognition of her numerous contributions to the Columbus community.

Bowns, who has been involved in various community organizations for many years, has been particularly active in her volunteer work at St. Anthony's School and her local church. As the current president of the Home and School Organization, she has led initiatives to enhance the educational experiences of students and families.

One of Bowns' most notable contributions has been her leadership in organizing fundraising events for St. Anthony's School. She has co-chaired several successful events, including "Saints on the Sprint" and the annual spaghetti feed, which have raised significant funds to support the school's programs and initiatives.

In addition to her work at St. Anthony's School, Bowns has also been instrumental in organizing fundraising events for her church and community. She has been involved in various activities, such as Music Bingo Entertainment Night and the St. Anthony's Christmas Tour of Homes, which have helped  raise funds for important causes.

Bowns' dedication to community service extends beyond her involvement in schools and churches. She has also been actively involved in the Columbus Soccer Organization, serving as a volunteer at the concession stand and participating in various fundraising events.

Christine Bartholomew, Bowns' mother-in-law, nominated her for the Service Over Self award, citing her "unwavering commitment" to serving others. "Stephanie's dedication and exemplary service truly merit recognition," Bartholomew said.

The Service Over Self award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to their community through volunteerism. The award is a testament to Bowns' commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
