Six Students to Commit to Project SEARCH

Six area high school students will sign their letters of intent for the Project SEARCH program at Mary Lanning Healthcare in April.

The signing day event for the 2025-26 program will be Thursday, April 17, at 12:30 p.m. at MLH in Conference Room 1, located on the Ground Floor. 

Project SEARCH, a one-year work training program, started at MLH in fall 2001. Eighty percent of student participants remain working in some form of employment. 

During the 2025-26 school year, students who sign up will be trained to work in various jobs at MLH. Participants are students at Hastings, Adams Central, Kenesaw and Doniphan-Trumbull schools.

The program is a partnership among MLH, Educational Service Unit 9, Vocational Rehabilitation Services and the Department of Health and Human Services.
