JRMC Names Shar Stockwell Foundation Director

Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) welcomes Shar Stockwell as the new director of the JRMC Foundation. In this leadership role, Stockwell will guide JRMC's philanthropic strategy and strengthen connections among the medical center, its donors and the communities it serves.
Stockwell brings more than 20 years of nursing experience, a strong leadership background and extensive knowledge of JRMC to the position.
Stockwell joined JRMC in 2013 as a Home Health and Hospice nurse and spent 11 years with the department, including eight years as its manager. Her combination of leadership experience and clinical background gives her firsthand insight into the importance of accessible, high-quality care and the difference JRMC makes throughout the region.
"I have been at the bedside and have seen the difference it makes when people can receive high-quality care close to home," Stockwell said. "I look forward to sharing those stories, building relationships and helping people understand how their support can make a lasting difference."
As Foundation director, Stockwell will provide strategic leadership for JRMC's philanthropic efforts, including major gifts, annual giving, events, grants and donor engagement. She will cultivate relationships with donors and community partners, oversee donor stewardship, collaborate with the Foundation Board of Directors and organizational leadership and guide the Foundation team.
JRMC President and CEO, Mike Delfs said Stockwell's clinical experience, leadership skills and commitment to JRMC position her well to lead the Foundation.
"I am excited to have Shar serve as JRMC's new Foundation director. Her leadership background, combined with her training and experience as a nurse, gives her a unique perspective in this role," Delfs said. "She understands our clinical work and can speak firsthand about the initiatives and services the Foundation helps make possible at JRMC."
Stockwell sees opportunities to deepen existing relationships while welcoming new individuals and organizations into the Foundation's work.
"Much of my career has been spent in Jamestown and the surrounding area, and I have valued the relationships I have built with people who care deeply about access to healthcare," Stockwell said. "I welcome conversations with individuals, families, businesses and community organizations that want to learn more about JRMC, share an idea or support what is needed next."
