Sanford Nurses Honored with Prestigious Nursing Award
Sanford Health Fargo region nurses were recognized for their unwavering dedication to providing excellent care for their patients and communities during Sanford Health’s Nurse’s Week celebration this month. Each year, Sanford employees are encouraged to nominate their colleagues to be recognized for the remarkable work they do each day for their patients and communities.
The prestigious Florence Nightingale Award recognizes nurses for outstanding involvement in the practice of the art and science of nursing - as evidenced by strength of character, commitment and competence that has been recognized by their peers as an outstanding asset to the community, nursing profession and the Sanford Health organization.
Christi Bubbers, ADN, RN, Courtney Caspers, LPN, Allison Aberle, BSN, RN, Amanda Dollinger, BSN, RN, CEN, Tashana Sedler, ADN, RN, Jodi Graftaas, RN, Sally Johnson, ADN, RN, Paige Upham, BSN, RN, OCN, and Teresa Pearson, LPN received the Florence Nightingale Award.
“Our incredible nurses have been tested over the past few years, and their resilience and commitment has been inspiring,” stated Kristen Jones, director of nursing and clinical services for Sanford Health Fargo. “These nurses are so deserving of these awards. We not only recognize our nursing award winners, but every single one of our nurses who make Sanford Health a premier healthcare organization.”
The Nursing Recognition Event is an annual event for Sanford Health. This year’s event, held at the Delta Hotel in Fargo, North Dakota, honored nurses and other health care professionals in nine categories. A record 529 nominations were submitted for 2022 honors, including 130 nominations for the Florence Nightingale Award.
National Nurses Week is acknowledged by health care organizations and the American Nurses Association annually.
