Sanford Health Plan Medicare Advantage Expanding To 38 More Counties This Fall

Sanford Health Plan’s one year-old Medicare Advantage plan, Align powered by Sanford Health Plan, is expanding to 38 new counties for the 2023 plan year.

“As a health plan that is part of Sanford Health’s integrated system of care, we are uniquely positioned to provide personalized, comprehensive and affordable coverage for Medicare beneficiaries throughout the region,” said John Snyder, president, Sanford Health Plan. “Because of the positive outcomes we saw in our first year offering Medicare Advantage, we’re able to bring the plans to more seniors across the Dakotas, Minnesota and now into Iowa. We are focused on keeping people healthy and well by equipping our members with innovative services and extra benefits to improve health and manage chronic conditions.”

Align powered by Sanford Health Plan will be available to Medicare beneficiaries to enroll for 2023 in the following counties during the Annual Enrollment Period which is open from October 15 – December 7, 2022. County names that are bolded are new for 2023:

  • Iowa: Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Sioux

  • Minnesota: Becker, Beltrami, Big Stone, Clay, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lac Qui Parle, Mahnomen, Marshall, Nobles, Norman, Otter Tail, Pennington, Pipestone, Polk, Red Lake, Rock, Traverse, Wilkin

  • North Dakota: Barnes, Burleigh, Cass, Grand Forks, Griggs, McLean, Mercer, Morton, Nelson, Oliver, Ramsey, Ransom, Richland, Steele, Stutsman, Traill, Walsh

  • South Dakota: Brookings, Clark, Clay, Day, Deuel, Douglas, Hanson, Hutchinson, Kingsbury, Lake, Lincoln, McCook, Marshall, Miner, Minnehaha, Moody, Roberts, Sanborn, Turner

Medicare Advantage plans provide an all-in-one bundled option for seniors, combining Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B coverage with additional, more robust benefits which may include prescription drug coverage, preventive care, dental, vision and hearing and other services like meals and fitness memberships.
