Sanford Health Plan Introduces New Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plan for Medicare and Medicaid Beneficiaries

Sanford Health Plan is expanding its Medicare portfolio with a new Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) for people dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid.

The new plan will be branded under the Align powered by Sanford Health Plan suite of Medicare products and titled, the Align DualPartnership Plan (D-SNP), one of the first of its kind offered in North Dakota, and available in Burleigh, Cass and Morton counties.

Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNP) coordinate care for members and often offer additional benefits, such as vision, dental and hearing, assistance with certain monthly expenses, and rides to health care visits and the pharmacy.

“We know there are people in our communities who would be better served with a D-SNP plan and the additional benefits it offers,” said Emily Griese, Sanford Health Plan’s chief growth and transformation officer. “We are so pleased to be launching the Align DualPartnership Plan (D-SNP) in North Dakota to connect members with the resources they need to meet their health goals and to do more with their health insurance coverage.”

Sanford Health Plan will host community education seminars for beneficiaries beginning October 1. Sign up to learn more about these upcoming events and to receive updates when new details are released about the new D-SNP plan.
