Sanford Health Designates Justin Reisenauer, M.D., Chief Medical Officer for Bismarck Region

Sanford Health has announced a leadership addition in Bismarck.

Justin Reisenauer, M.D., FACEP, AWEP, will become the new chief medical officer for the Sanford Bismarck Region, officially starting Nov. 1.

Dr. Reisenauer has been an emergency medicine physician at Sanford Health for 14 years, during which time he held leadership roles in clinical operations and schedule management. In addition, he serves as a clinical professor of emergency medicine at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, overseeing the training and education of residents and medical students.

“Dr. Reisenauer has demonstrated a deep commitment to patient care, clinical excellence and medical education. His ability to lead in fast-paced, high-acuity environments will be instrumental as we continue to advance our mission and strengthen the care we deliver,” said Todd Schaffer, M.D., president and CEO, Sanford Bismarck. “We are confident that his expertise and leadership will continue to be tremendous assets to our team and to the communities we serve.”

The Sanford Bismarck region provides health care to central and western North Dakota, eastern Montana and northern South Dakota. It includes 26 clinics in Bismarck, Mandan, Minot, Dickinson, Williston and Watford City, as well as a Level II trauma center located in Bismarck.
