Sanford Health Holding Ribbon Cutting and Open House for New AirMed Hangar

A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house will be held at the new Sanford AirMed hangar, located at 2300 Lancair Loop in Bismarck, on May 16 from 4 – 7 p.m. The family-friendly event is free to the public and will feature tours of the new facility, snacks and activities, and a meet-and-greet with the Bismarck AirMed crew.

The Sanford Bismarck AirMed team moved to the new location this spring, which houses the AirMed EC-145 helicopter and provides living quarters, offices and training rooms for flight crews, pilots and maintenance services.

“The Sanford AirMed team transports thousands of patients every year providing life-saving care while getting patients where they need to go safely and quickly,” said Adam Parker, manager of Sanford AirMed base operations. “Our team is equipped for stabilizing treatment to patients suffering from cardiac disease, trauma, burns, stroke, sepsis and more.”

The new 8,000 square foot facility in Bismarck is adjacent to the Bismarck Airport and National Weather Service.
