Sanford Fargo to Host Doc Talk on Youth Athlete Health

Sanford Health Fargo is hosting a Doc Talk discussion to educate the public about how to keep young athletes healthy.

The event is on Thursday, April 30, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. inside the Fargo Parks Sports Center at the Sanford Sports Complex, 6100 38th St. S., Fargo. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

Young athletes face growing physical demands.  Erik Slette, MD, Sanford Health orthopedic surgeon, will lead a discussion on simple ways to help young athletes avoid overuse injuries and what factors put young athletes at higher risk for overuse injuries. Dr. Slette will also share how parents, coaches and trainers can collaborate to help young athletes stay healthy, motivated and thriving.

Sanford Health is dedicated to providing the communities it serves with relevant and up-to-date health information. Doc Talk is a free educational series where Sanford physicians present and answer your questions on a wide variety of topics.
