Roger Maris Gala Set for June 19
Sanford Health is adding a philanthropic event to Roger Maris All-Star Week.
The Roger Maris Gala is an event to honor the past and celebrate the future of the Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center. Attendees will hear local stories of hope and healing and will be invited to support the future of the Roger Maris Cancer Center.
The Roger Maris Gala takes place on Wednesday, June 19, at 6 p.m. at The Pines, 4487 165th Ave. S.E., Davenport, N.D. The event schedule features:
6 p.m. - Social & hors d’oeuvres
7 p.m. – Dinner & program
9 p.m. - Entertainment
“Since the Roger Maris Cancer Center opened its doors in 1990, the gift of philanthropy has allowed Sanford Health to provide world-class health care to patients at home,” said Amy Hinkemeyer, vice president, Sanford Health Foundation. “100% of funds raised during Roger Maris All-Star Week and the Roger Maris Gala will stay local and support Roger Maris Cancer Center’s vision to expand into a national destination for cancer research, treatment, education and training.”
The cost of a full table is $2,000 and includes a plated dinner, drinks, an evening program and entertainment for eight attendees. The cost for half a table is $1,000 and includes a plated dinner, drinks, an evening program and entrainment for four attendees.
Roger Maris All-Star Week was created to support the work happening at the cancer center, honor loved ones, friends and neighbors affected by cancer, promote Roger’s passion for fitness and youth sports and celebrate the enduring legacy of hometown hero, Roger Maris.
