First-in-the-State Robotic-Assisted Bronchoscopy Launches at CHI Health Good Samaritan

CHI Health Good Samaritan is the first in the state to offer a new groundbreaking robotic-assisted bronchoscopy platform. This innovative technology allows for earlier, safer and more accurate diagnoses of lung disease leading to improved patient outcomes. 

The new Galaxy system helps physicians navigate more than 90% of the lung, an improvement compared to the 20-30% offered by traditional scopes. Robotic-assisted bronchoscopy also promotes faster patient recovery and lowers the risk of infection by minimizing anesthesia and radiation compared to conventional CT scans.

The new robotic-assisted bronchoscopy technology is launching today (Jan.13) at Good Samaritan. Dr. Michael Talalaev, board-certified critical care pulmonologist, and his team are performing lung nodule screenings throughout the day.
