Register For The Avera Race Against Cancer Before May 1 To Get Your T-Shirt

The 35th Annual Avera Race Against Cancer is set for May 13.

You can sign up to take part as a runner, walker or sideline supporter at AveraRace.org. For those participating in a regional event, in order to get your Avera Race t-shirt on Race Day, you must register before May 1.

“The Race is truly a celebration of survivors,” said Avera Race co-director Elijah Bonde. “Many people take part, from across the region and across the country.”

This year, Avera facilities are hosting events in Sioux Falls, Pierre and Yankton, S.D., and Marshall, Minn. You can also take part virtually from wherever you happen to be.

Bonde said businesses often find creative ways to take part, building teams, offering promotions and helping everyone contribute, even if they can’t run or walk on Race Day.

“All funds remain in the community to support local cancer care and patients,” Bonde added. “Everyone who participates is a vital part of the fundraising efforts for the Avera Cancer Institute, and we’re very grateful for their support.”
