Prairie Lakes Orthopedics Welcomes Nurse Practitioner to Clinical Team

Jolyn Sackmann, DNP

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is pleased to welcome Jolyn Sackmann, DNP, to the Prairie Lakes Orthopedics team. Sackmann joins a skilled group of providers including Dr. Michael Vener, Dr. Gerald Rieber, Dr. Casey Johnston, Lisa Lee, CNP, and Tim Larson, PA-C, in delivering expert care for patients with orthopedic conditions involving joints, bones, ligaments, nerves, and tendons.

Sackmann earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner degree from South Dakota State University in Brookings, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. During her training, she completed several clinical rotations at the Prairie Lakes Specialty Clinic.

Sackmann has been a dedicated member of the Prairie Lakes team since 2014, serving in the Emergency Services Department and as a House Supervisor. Since 2022, she has also shared her expertise as a nursing instructor at Lake Area Technical College. Outside of work, Sackmann values time spent with family and friends, especially her husband and their three children.

“Prairie Lakes has been my professional home for more than a decade, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to stay and grow here,” said Sackmann. “I’m excited to continue caring for our community—now in a new way—helping patients stay healthy, active, and doing the things they love through orthopedic care.”
