Pulmonology, Palliative Care, and Plastic Surgery Services Expand in Central Iowa

UnityPoint Clinic is expanding its specialty care services in Central Iowa with the  opening of three new clinics at Waukee Medical Park. UnityPoint Clinic Pulmonology – Waukee  Medical Park and UnityPoint Clinic Palliative Care – Waukee Medical Park open January 19,  2026, and UnityPoint Clinic Plastic Surgery – Waukee Medical Park opens February 5, 2026. All  three clinics will be located at 2515 Grand Prairie Parkway in Waukee.

UnityPoint Clinic Pulmonology – Waukee Medical Park can help diagnose, treat and help  patients prevent respiratory system diseases including:  

  • Asthma  

  • COPD  

  • Emphysema  

  • Lung Cancer  

  • Pulmonary Function Testing 

  • Variety of advanced bronchoscopic techniques 

  • Thoracentesis  

  • *A provider who specializes in sleep studies and sleep medicine will also be available to  clinic patients.  

The Pulmonology care team will be led by Corey Sadd, MD, Dustin McCann, DO and Erin  Tracy, ARNP. A referral is required to the clinic. 

UnityPoint Clinic Palliative Care – Waukee Medical Park will support patients and families  regarding medical decisions for serious, ongoing medical conditions, while focusing on quality of  life while considering the patient’s healthcare decisions and goals. The clinic will be led by  Candice Shlafmann, DO. A referral is required to the clinic.  

UnityPoint Clinic Plastic Surgery – Waukee Medical Park is experienced in both  reconstructive and cosmetic procedures including:  

  • Breast reconstruction, reductions, lifts and augmentations  

  • Skin cancer reconstruction  

  • Cleft lip and palate  

  • Rhinoplasty (nose job)  

  • Otoplasty (ear pinning)
