Columbus Community Hospital welcomes Lindsay Olson and Jacki Dostal to the Occupational Health Services (OHS) department.
OHS is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The clinic welcomes both scheduled appointments and walk-in services. OHS serves businesses and industries in Columbus and all over the state by providing mobile occupational medicine services. The clinic is flexible to meet the needs of its employers, understanding that many of their operations run outside of the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. timeframe.
Olson is the department’s new office manager, and Dostal is the new clinic receptionist.
“We are excited to have these two ladies join our team,” said Danielle Frewing, the director of OHS. “They both have skills, such as leadership, that make them super beneficial for our department.”
Olson has worked in health care for six years, most recently at an assisted living facility in Norfolk, Nebraska. During her tenure at each health care facility, she gained experience in leadership, billing systems and health care. “Lindsay is a great fit for her office manager position based on her broad range of experience,” Frewing said.
Olson graduated from Central Community College with a degree in business administration and a certification in supervisory management. She lives in Columbus and looks forward to working alongside the seasoned OHS team.
“Lindsay’s role as an office manager is crucial, as she handles oversight of all OHS clerical staff to include front desk, billing and daily records processing,” Frewing said. “She will also provide back-up support to clerical staff during times of absence.”
Working under the OHS director, Olson is also responsible for managing the hospital’s Department of Transportation (DOT) consortium services and random drug testing programs. Management of these programs is important to ensure accuracy and compliance with DOT regulations.
Dostal graduated from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska, and was a human resources lead at Walmart for 17 years. “Jacki is a hard worker,” said Frewing. “She has top-notch communication and time management skills, which is perfect for the clinic receptionist position. Her role as a clinic receptionist is vital, as she is the first touchpoint to patients at our clinic, either through a phone call or during the face-to-face check-in process.”
Dostal is married to Chuck and enjoys reading and spending time with her two children, Chloe and Cooper.
