Occupational Health Doctor Earns Medical Review Officer Certification

Columbus Community Hospital congratulates Dr. Vilma B. Rodriguez-Cline, who recently earned her Medical Review Officer (MRO) certification through the American Association of Medical Review Officers (AAMRO). The AAMRO is a medical society dedicated to establishing national standards and certifying medical professionals in drug and alcohol testing. With this certification, Cline can review and determine the validity of drug and alcohol testing processed through Occupational Health Services (OHS).

Cline is also a certified urine drug collector and breath alcohol technician, as well as a physical capacity profile testing and hearing testing expert. She attended training in Dec. 2022, completed a two-day certification process and took a written exam. OHS is acquiring her credentials with Quest Diagnostics as an authorized MRO provider for all OHS Quest accounts.

Her credentials will allow her to review and sign off on drug results for employees of any company that is an OHS client. Cline will work alongside Dr. Dale Zaruba, who holds the MRO certification.

“As an MRO, Dr. Cline is an expert in drug and alcohol testing,” said Danielle Frewing, director of Occupational Health Services. “Her certification tremendously supports our clinic as we navigate through drug screens requiring her MRO verifications. We are grateful for her to provide this support in conjunction with Dr. Zaruba and OHS as we continue to grow and expand our drug testing line.”

Cline staffs Lindsay Medical Clinic on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings and works at OHS Thursday afternoons and Fridays.
