Mary Lanning Healthcare Earns National Recognition on Forbes Top Hospitals List

According to forbes.com, a ”unique rating system evaluates general acute care hospitals throughout the United States to offer consumers unbiased information on which hospitals can offer top-notch, high-value medical services...”

Healthcare measurement experts partnered with the healthcare data and analytics firm, Inovalon, to calculate ratings. The CMS data was used to identify healthcare quality measures assessing patient outcomes, hospital best practices, value and patient experience.

MLH was one of only 10 Nebraska hospitals to make the list. Of the about 5,400 eligible general acute care hospitals in the U.S., only about 2,500 met the criteria to be reviewed for the list. Just 253 hospitals earned five-star ratings and 509 earned four-star ratings.

“Inclusion on the list places Mary Lanning Healthcare among a select group of high-performing organizations nationwide,” said Megan Marble, MLH Director of Quality Services. “This recognition affirms the work our teams do every day to improve patient outcomes, strengthen safety and deliver an exceptional care experience to our community.”

Dave Zechman, MLH Interim CEO, said he was pleased to learn about the rating.

“It is wonderful to see Mary Lanning Healthcare be honored for the excellent work of our employees,” Zechman said. “Hastings residents should be proud to have a Forbes Top Hospital located right here in our community.”
