MercyOne To Open First Full-Service Urgent Care In Dakota Dunes
MercyOne is excited to announce it will open the first and only full- service urgent care in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, on Feb. 20, 2023.
MercyOne Dakota Dunes Urgent Care is conveniently located at 330 Dakota Dunes Blvd. next to MercyOne Dakota Dunes Breast Care Center, just off Interstate 29, exit 1. Community members and those visiting the area will be able to access care when they need same-day appointments with a provider or outside regular hours.
“We really saw a need in this community for a full-service urgent care,” said Muddasir Ghouse, MercyOne Western Iowa executive director of rural hospitals and clinic operations. “So, when we were looking to expand our care, Dakota Dunes seemed like the perfect location.”
MercyOne Dakota Dunes Urgent Care will offer in-person walk-in appointments, extended hours two nights a week and weekend hours. In addition to in-person care, MercyOne offers telehealth appointments to make sure patients get the care they need. The clinic offers treatment for a variety of non-emergency conditions, including:
Ear and eye infection
Fever
Minor cuts that may need stitches
Broken bones or simple fractures
Minor skin infections
Severe sore throat
Sprains and strains
Vomiting and diarrhea
“MercyOne Dakota Dunes Urgent Care will allow more patients to get the care they need, when they need it,” Ghouse said. “This location creates flexibility and efficiency for our patients in the Dakota Dunes community as well as patients coming into Siouxland. It also allows us to continue our mission of providing patient centered, high-quality, compassionate care to communities.”
MercyOne Dakota Dunes Urgent Care will be open:
Monday and Tuesday: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
