MercyOne Siouxland Child Advocacy Center Holds Protecting Families Conference

MercyOne Siouxland Child Advocacy Center (CAC) will hold a Protecting Families Conference on April 19 at Morningside University in the Yockey Room of the Olsen Student Center from 8:30 a.m.to 4 p.m.

The conference will include four sessions: Development, Memory and Trauma: A Trifecta, Addressing Delayed Disclosure in the Forensic Interview, Overcoming Staleness in a Delayed Disclosure Investigation and Trial Strategies for Delayed Disclosure Sexual Abuse Cases.

“The conference allows the Siouxland community to come together to seek education and strengthen our multi-disciplinary approach to preventing and addressing child abuse,” says Victoria Ricke, manager of MercyOne Siouxland CAC
