MercyOne, City Of Moville And Moville Area Medical Clinic Incorporated Announce New Clinic

Today, MercyOne and the city of Moville announced construction for a new building to house a new primary care location and therapy area.

Construction on the 10,000 square foot, $3.5 million facility is expected to begin in the spring and will be located off Highway 20. Once complete, MercyOne will lease the first floor of the facility to replace the current MercyOne Moville Family Medicine clinic. CNOS and a wellness center will occupy the second floor.

The new building is possible through fundraising by Moville Community Development Association, Inc. (MCDAI) and Moville Area Medical Clinic, Inc.

“We are so thankful for the Moville community, the Chamber of commerce and MCDAI’s dedication to fundraising $3.5 million,” said Diane Drevs, Moville Area Medical Clinic Incorporated president. “The city of Moville knew this was a need and allowed us to purchase the land from them for $1. We are so excited for this next venture.”

The new MercyOne Moville Family Medicine clinic is expected to open in 2023.

“We have been so honored to be a part of the Moville community for several years and to continue that partnership in the future,” said Muddasir Ghouse, executive director of rural hospitals and clinic operations. “This new clinic will allow us to serve more patients and continue our Mission of providing high-quality, family-centered and compassionate care to communities. Our commitment to rural health care remains strong in Iowa and beyond.”
