Melissa John Joins Essentia Health–Fargo to Provide Palliative Care

Melissa John, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner, is excited to begin practicing palliative care at Essentia Health-Fargo.

“I was drawn to be a provider with Essentia Health as I believe in their mission to make a healthy difference,” said Melissa. “I’ve witnessed a welcoming atmosphere as both a consultant and patient.”

Melissa received her master’s degree in nursing from the University of North Dakota. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“I was drawn to end-of-life care following the passing of my grandmother,” said Melissa. “Unfortunately, her experience was uncomfortable and not how she wanted. I made a promise that day to do whatever I could to make others’ experiences better.”
