McFarland Clinic is pleased to announce that Michaela Heys, DPM, will join McFarland Clinic’s Podiatry/Foot & Ankle Surgery department on August 1. Dr. Heys will see patients at McFarland Clinic in Ames, located at 1215 Duff Avenue in Ames. In addition, Dr. Heys will see patients at McFarland Clinic’s Iowa Falls office located at 108 Washington Avenue. 

Dr. Heys received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas in Tyler, Texas. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Heys completed her Podiatry Residency at Regions Hospital/ HealthPartners Institute for Education and Research in Saint Paul, Minnesota. 

As a Podiatrist, Dr. Heys will offer comprehensive foot care, including diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle diseases, fractures, and tendon injuries. She also specializes in surgical techniques, total ankle replacement, limb salvage, wound care, arthroscopy procedures, and other elective foot and ankle procedures.
