LifeScape Partners with Local Businesses for New Community Support Event

LifeScape is thrilled to announce a brand-new fundraising event designed to support both the organization’s mission, empowering people to live their best life, and small local businesses. Small Shops, Big Impact will be held on Saturday, June 21st from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., encouraging the community to shop locally while raising awareness and funds for the more than 5,600 children and adults served by LifeScape. The event is the brainchild of LifeScape Director of Development, Anna Trosper, “We’ve heard from many small shops in recent months that they’re facing challenges. What better way to lift them up than by bringing new customers through their doors while also benefiting LifeScape? It’s a win-win for our community.”

Eight local businesses are participating in the event: Makers Exchange in Tea, Apricot Lane Boutique, Mulberry Market, Josiah’s Coffeehouse & Café, Say Anything Jewelry, Zandbroz Variety, MK Threads, and Remedy Brewing Company. “There’s a special connection between LifeScape and these shops,” explains LifeScape Foundation President Jessica Wells. “Whether they have worked at LifeScape, been one of our many donors or volunteers, or have had a loved one supported, there is a history that ties us together. This event weaves those relationships together and highlights the strength and generosity of the Sioux Falls community.”

Small Shops, Big Impact, kicks off at 9:00 a.m. at Maker’s Exchange, where registered participants will receive a tote bag sticker, Bingo card, and route map. Shoppers can register the day of the event or in advance at SmallShopsForLifeScape.org. Registration is $25 per person or $40 for a shopping duo. The day concludes at Remedy Brewing Company at 4:00 p.m., where participants will be eligible for gift basket drawings. Those who complete their Bingo cards by visiting each shop will be entered into a special gift card drawing.
