Avera Announces the Annual 2025 March Summit
The Avera Research Institute is inviting area healthcare professionals to the 2025 Maternal American Indian Rural Community Health (MARCH) Annual Summit on March 4.
Avera Research Institute’s MARCH Center of Excellence aims to serve as a platform for researchers, tribal nations/agencies, rural communities and key partners to engage in bidirectional communication to improve maternal mortality and severe morbidity. The conference provides stakeholders with meaningful connections and dialogue around solutions to the challenges faced by mothers during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. Through panel discussions, presentations and an interactive workshop, the MARCH Summit aims to raise awareness, share knowledge and promote positive change in maternal health.
This year’s keynote speaker is Deb Kilday, a Senior Advisor for Maternal and Infant Health, in the Office on Women's Health (OWH), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She is a subject matter expert on maternal and infant population.
Other speakers include Avera Research Institute scientists, including Dr. Amy Elliott, Chief Clinical Research Officer, Avera Community Health Resource Workers and professors from the region.
