Jill Robak Earns Service Beyond Self Award
Jill Robak
Columbus Community Hospital is proud to announce Jill Robak as the recipient of the first-quarter Service Over Self Award for 2025. Robak, a dedicated registered nurse in the home health and hospice department at CCH, was nominated by her director, Jody Evans, for her outstanding volunteer contributions to the community.
Robak’s commitment to service extends beyond her compassionate care for patients and their families — who frequently commend her dedication. She is actively involved with the Teammates mentoring program, through which she is making a positive impact on a young girl’s life. Her nurturing spirit was also evident in her many years of teaching Sunday school at Trinity Lutheran Church, where she shared her time and guidance with children.
Even while actively supporting her younger sons' activities and embracing her new role as a grandmother, Robak still finds time to give back. She previously dedicated her time to the Columbus High School color guard when her daughters were involved, and now she continues to be a supportive presence in her goddaughter Freja’s life.
Evans highlighted Robak’s quiet dedication and selfless contributions to the community. “Jill is a true example of someone who gives generously of her time without seeking recognition,” Evans wrote. “Her commitment to the Teammates program and her past involvement with Trinity Lutheran Church and the color guard demonstrate a deep-seated desire to serve others.”
The Service Over Self Committee and Pathway to Excellence team at Columbus Community Hospital are thrilled to recognize Robak for her exemplary dedication.
She was honored with an award presentation on Wednesday, April 16.
The Service Over Self Award is open to all CCH staff. To submit your nomination, send your nominee’s volunteer story to bridges@columbushosp.org.
This award is brought to CCH through the Pathway to Excellence® program, which recognizes hospitals that create a positive working environment for nurses.
