Jayci Clovis, Emergency Department Technician, Receives TULIP Award

Jayci Clovis, Emergency Department Technician, has received the TULIP Award. This award is presented to nursing support caregivers who exemplify Monument Health’s values of trust, respect, compassion, community and excellence. These individuals make a difference in the lives of their patients and patient families and are a vital part of our nursing care teams. Jayci was nominated by the friend of a patient.

“I wanted to send a ‘wow’ to the lady working last evening in triage when I arrived with my neighbor. She came out with a wheelchair while I assisted my friend out of the car and took her inside while I parked. She was so gentle and kind with my neighbor, getting her extra blankets. Once her daughter arrived, she let me know and she would continue to come in and see if we needed anything further,” reads the nomination. “What a great experience we had in the ED, if one can have that. I wanted you to know what a great representative of Monument Health she was last evening.”

TULIP is an acronym for, “Thoughtful upbeat loving individuals caring for patients,” and the TULIP Award recognizes outstanding members of Monument Health’s nursing support teams. Nursing support includes positions such as Nurse Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, Emergency Department Technicians, Psychiatric Technicians, Health Unit Clerks, Dialysis Technicians, Clinical Assistants, Cardiac Monitoring Technicians, Activities Assistants, Medical Assistants, Certified Medical Assistants, Medication Aides and Restorative Assistants. Caregivers in Rapid City are selected 4 times a year for this recognition. Caregivers are also honored in Custer, Lead-Deadwood, Spearfish and Sturgis. Visit monument.health/tulip to nominate.
