J&L Harley-Davidson and Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson Celebrates Success of First-Annual Wheels and Wishes Event
J&L Harley-Davidson and Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its first annual Wheels and Wishes event. Held on May 18th, this landmark occasion brought together motorcycle enthusiasts, community members, and supporters for a day of camaraderie, fun, and philanthropy.
The Wheels and Wishes event offered a range of engaging activities, including a Poker Ride, Silent Auction, and a thrilling Motorcycle Giveaway. Attendees had the chance to purchase raffle tickets to win a coveted 2023 Harley-Davidson Anniversary Edition Heritage Classic, generously donated by Travis Sitter. The event's highlight was the presence of local wish kid Kamden, who shared his inspiring story and drew the raffle winner for the motorcycle. Kamden's wish, which came true in November 2023, was to enjoy a Minnesota Vikings Experience.
In a testament to the event's success and the community's generosity, J&L Harley-Davidson and Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson will present a check for over $43,000 to Make-A-Wish South Dakota & Montana. The check presentation will take place on June 27th at Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson in Watertown, SD, from 3:00-4:00 PM CST. Local media is invited to attend this special occasion, celebrating the contributions that will help make more wishes come true for children with critical illnesses.
This event marked a significant milestone for J&L Harley-Davidson and Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson, showcasing the community's spirit and generosity while celebrating the joy of riding and making wishes come true.
“Joe and I are very proud of what our team accomplished this year with Wheels and Wishes. "The first annual Wheels and Wishes event was an unqualified success and a huge win for wish kids," said Sue Salter, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish South Dakota & Montana.
