MED Editor Alex Strauss and VP of Sales & Marketing Steffanie Holtrop at the IHLA Spring Convention

The Iowa Healthcare Leaders Association (IHLA) recently held its highly anticipated Spring 2024 conference, marking a pivotal gathering for healthcare professionals across the state. MED was delighted to help sponsor and attend the event.

Networking opportunities were abundant throughout the conference, allowing attendees to forge new connections and strengthen existing professional relationships with members and business partners. The Iowa Association of Rural health Clinics (IARHC) partnered with IHLA again this Spring and members of both associations benefited from the educational opportunities and networking.  These connections not only fostered collaboration but also facilitated knowledge and best practice sharing among peers.

As always, providing top-tier education was a foundation of the conference, with sessions and workshops tailored to enhance leadership skills, promote innovative practices, and address current challenges in healthcare management. The General Session titled Humble Leadership presented by Don Harkey and Matt Griswold of People Centric Consulting Group is case-in-point, “They were both very engaging and material was delivered in a fun manor with humor. Great presentations from both of them the entire time. Great takeaways to apply to my everyday both at work and at home!” said one attendee.

The IHLA encourages anyone who is interested to reach out! Our conferences prove to be well worth while and the IHLA is a growing association that is invites healthcare professionals who share a passion for leadership and excellence to join its esteemed community.

The next IHLA conference will be held September 12-13th at the Hilton Garden Inn, West Des Moines and online registration will be opening soon.
