Iowa Hospital Association Launches Health Education Career Portal
The Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) today announced the launch of the Iowa Health Education Portal, a new online resource designed to help students, educators and workforce partners explore healthcare education and career pathways in Iowa.
The portal was created to support students as they consider future career options and connect them directly with colleges and training programs across the state. The website provides an approachable starting point for those interested in caring for patients, using technology to improve lives or being part of a team that keeps communities healthy. Nursing and radiologic technology are the first careers featured on the site, with additional healthcare professions and programs to be added over time. Students can search educational opportunities by program length or type, as well as by location in the state.
“Iowa hospitals are focused on building a strong workforce for the future. We know growing that workforce begins by helping students understand the many meaningful and rewarding career opportunities available to them,” said Chris Mitchell, IHA President & CEO. “The Iowa Health Education Portal is designed to connect students, families and educators with information that can support career exploration and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. From nursing to radiologic technology and beyond, healthcare careers combine purpose, opportunity and lifelong learning.”
The Iowa Health Education Portal is part of IHA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Iowa’s healthcare workforce and supporting hospitals and health systems as they care for communities across the state.
