Huntington’s Disease Society Of America Team Hope Walk Returns To Sioux Falls, South Dakota May 6

The Huntington's Disease Society of America's (HDSA) South Dakota Chapter will be hosting the South Dakota Team Hope Walk on Saturday, May 6th @ 9:00 AM at Sertoma Park in Sioux Falls, SD.

"Our Huntington’s Disease Society of America South Dakota Team Hope Walk & Live Auction is on Saturday, May 6th at Sertoma Park in Sioux Falls, SD!  Registration starts at 8 am, the Walk starts at 9 am and the Live Auction is at 9:45 am!  The Team Hope Walk & Live Auction is our biggest fundraising event of the year!" SAid Debbie Stadley, Chapter President  "The event is a time for our families affected by HD to come together & celebrate!  We celebrate our passion for caring for our loved ones with HD!  We celebrate our hard work in fundraising & finding treatments & a cure.  And, we celebrate our community, our HD family!  At HDSA South Dakota-we say, Family is Everything!"

The Team Hope Walk program is HDSA’s signature grassroots fundraising campaign designed to provide hope and support for those touched by this devastating disease. All proceeds support HDSA’s mission to improve the lives of people affected by HD and their families. Since their inception in 2007, Team Hope Walks have occurred in over 100 different cities and have raised more than $22 million for the cause.

Huntington’s disease is a fatal genetic disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain that is described as having ALS, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's disease all at once. Today, there are approximately 41,000 symptomatic Americans and more than 200,000 at-risk of inheriting the disease.
