Hospital Invites Community Members To Attend Harvest For Health Celebration

Columbus Community Hospital is planting the seed for good health at Harvest for Health from 7 a.m.-noon on Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Ramada River’s Edge Convention Center in Columbus.

The hospital invites community members of all ages to join and learn more about health care products, services and new offerings in the community from more than 40 area businesses.

The event will feature three speakers. Dr. Sabu George with Columbus Cardiology Clinic will share tips on maintaining heart health. Following his presentation, physical therapists from Rehab Services at the Wellness Center will demonstrate five-minute exercises to help you stay active and feel your best. Finally, Dr. Jacob Oran with Columbus General Surgery will discuss gastrointestinal-related surgical procedures.

Columbus Community Hospital and Bryan Health will also offer various health screenings and services. Attendees can take advantage of free blood pressure, vision, bone mineral density and heart-health fingerstick screenings. Flu shots, Prevnar 20 vaccinations and in-depth health screenings are available at a discounted rate.

While at the event, attendees can enter to win a Roomba® vacuum cleaner, 50” television or Walmart gift card.
