Hastings Orthopaedics Now Offers Walk-In Injury Appointments
Hastings Orthopaedics recently began offering walk-in appointments for orthopaedic injuries on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1-4 p.m.
Aaron Esch, MLH Clinic Manager, said patients suffering from non-emergency, acute injuries including sports injuries, fractures, sprains, strains or tears, and cuts and lacerations will be seen by one of the Hastings Ortho physician assistants. Patients will be seen in the order of arrival.
Esch said the new walk-in clinic should help patients with acute issues be seen without having to wait for an appointment.
“This is really just another way for us to make it easier for patients to get the care they need when they need it,” Esch said. “We know injuries, especially sports injuries, can have a big impact on day-to-day life. Our goal is to get patients evaluated quickly, start developing a plan and help them get back to doing the things they enjoy as soon as possible.
The walk-in clinic will not treat head and facial trauma, open fractures where the bone is visible, chest or rib injuries or chronic pain.
“If the situation appears to be more of an emergency, please seek help through the Emergency Department,” Esch said.
