Good Samaritan Hosts Complimentary Safe Kids Day at Children’s Museum

CHI Health Good Samaritan, in conjunction with Safe Kids Platte Valley, invites the community to its free Safe Kids Day from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, June 19 at the Kearney Area Children’s Museum. Admission to the museum is free.

This annual event, created to help families enjoy a safe summer, celebrates kids and helps families learn more about injury prevention and safety. In addition to the museum’s permanent attractions, children can meet real-life Good Samaritan EMS providers and explore interactive exhibits teaching families how to stay safe on the road, at home and at play.

A free hotdog meal will be served to the first 100 participants.

“As a nurse, I know prevention is key,” says Tracy Rademacher, trauma prevention, CHI Health Good Samaritan. “From water safety to sun protection, and all that comes between, let's build a safer summer together!

Preventable injuries are the number one cause of death for children in the U.S.--killing a million children each year, worldwide. Good Samaritan and Safe Kids Platte Valley are dedicated to raising awareness about child injury prevention and inspiring parents to focus on proven and practical tips to keep their kids safe.
