This gala, hosted by the Ty Eschenbaum Foundation (TEF), is a night of service and celebration in support of the foundation’s three heartfelt causes: Make-A-Wish South Dakota & Montana, youth cancer survivor scholarships, and funding of missionary work. The first two Earn The Gift Galas raised a total of $461,577.63.

“The Earn The Gift Gala is a beautiful night each year, but what matters most is the impact we make together,” said Ty Eschenbaum, founder of the Ty Eschenbaum Foundation. “This event brings our community together to support our three heartfelt causes, and it’s an honor each year to witness the generosity of every person in the room. Each attendee, sponsor, vendor, and event partner involved in this event is helping us create lasting change.”

The Earn The Gift Gala will feature:

  • Cocktail Hour

  • Delicious Meal

  • Black Tie Attire

  • Dueling Duo, Dueling Pianos

  • Silent & Live Auction

The evening’s emcee, former South Dakota Secretary of Agriculture, Lucas Lentsch, will lead guests through a captivating program of hope, joy, and laughter.

In April of 2024, the Ty Eschenbaum Foundation presented Make-A-Wish® South Dakota & Montana with a check for $100,000. This donation marked $215,000 TEF has donated to Make-A-Wish® South Dakota & Montana in the last three years.

In addition to table and ticketing information, sponsorship opportunities are also available at EarnTheGiftGala.com.

BACKGROUND: The Ty Eschenbaum Foundation (TEF) was founded in 2011 and has grown and impacted thousands of lives through its three heartfelt causes. From its inception, the foundation has granted scholarships to youth cancer survivors, following Ty's battle with, and victory over, leukemia and dozens of complications in the years following. The second cause TEF supports is Make-A-Wish®️, in honor of Autumn Jungwirth, who passed in 2019. Autumn was the love of Ty's life, and is remembered for her passion for helping children. Lastly, TEF supports missionary work in honor of Calder, Ty's brother, who passed away in 2021, and is remembered for his strong faith and inspiring work ethic.
