Columbus Community Hospital’s mission is simple — to improve the health of the communities it serves. However, it takes strong teamwork and a variety of programs and services to achieve such a mission.

The hospital’s Quick Facts document highlights the latest statistics from the past fiscal year. It provides an overview of the hospital’s history, employees and volunteers, facility updates and services. Additionally, the document offers a comprehensive view of the departments on each hospital floor and information about the featured areas.

Some key features and achievements from this past year included:

  • The maternal child health department increased the number of babies delivered to 550.

  • Radiology facilitated 4,795 mammograms, which is 355 more than last fiscal year.

  • Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation performed 455 cardiac stress tests — 63 more than last fiscal year.

  • The hospital’s total annual admissions increased from last fiscal year to 2,423 inpatient admissions, 13,400 emergency visits, 2,391 outpatient procedures and 373 inpatient procedures.

  • The hospital has added or updated a number of service lines to better serve the community. These include:

    • Chaplain services with Chaplain Mary “Mitch” Shemek.

    • Dermatology services with Columbus Dermatology Clinic and Dr. Dillon Clarey.

    • Massage therapy services with Columbus Community Hospital Massage Therapy and Jasmine Karakatsanis, LMT.

    • Patient transportation services.

    • Safe at Home, formerly Lifeline, with Hailey Rathje, Safe at Home coordinator.

    • Special care nursery in our maternal child health department.

    • Valet parking through our volunteer and guest services.
