Today, Essentia Health broke ground on a new family medicine clinic in Horace, North Dakota. Located at 7735 Jacks Way, the new clinic will provide convenient access to care for the Horace community.
“Horace is a growing community, and we’re proud to invest in its future by bringing convenient, comprehensive healthcare closer to home,” said Dr. Stefanie Gefroh Ellison, Essentia Health West Market president. “The Essentia Health-Horace Clinic will make it easier for our patients to access everything from preventive and pediatric care to same-day appointments and radiology services – closer to where they live, work and go to school. We’re grateful to the city and our community partners for helping us build a healthier future for Horace.”
Horace is the fastest growing city in North Dakota. To meet the community’s need for expanded primary care options, the 7,500-square-foot clinic will include primary and urgent care, pediatrics, laboratory and radiology services, physical therapy and a pharmacy with drive-through access.
“Horace is proud to welcome Essentia Health to our growing community,” said Horace Mayor Jeff Trudeau. “We look forward to having the Essentia Health-Horace Clinic as a new healthcare option for our residents.”
The clinic, a $7.5 million investment by Essentia, will be conveniently located on a major traffic artery just south of West Fargo and blocks from Horace High School and Heritage Middle School. The clinic is expected to be completed by late 2027.
“A strong regional economy depends on the things that support people’s everyday lives, and health care is near the top of that list. Employers consider it when they expand here, and workers and families consider it when they relocate,” said Joe Raso, president and CEO of Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corp. “Essentia Health’s new Horace clinic is a welcome addition for a fast-growing community and one more reason greater Fargo Moorhead continues to be a great place to live and work.”
Earlier this year, Essentia contributed $40,000 to support Southern Valley Fire and Rescue’s purchase of two advanced defibrillator and cardiac monitor units – strengthening emergency medical care for the community.
Essentia also celebrated the start of construction on another family medicine clinic earlier in October. The downtown Moorhead clinic will open in the former Wells Fargo building at 730 Center Ave. the spring of 2027.
