Essentia Health-South University Clinic welcomes pediatrician Dr. Zara Hussain

The Essentia Health-South University Clinic is excited to welcome pediatrician Dr. Zara Hussain.

“Essentia has a welcoming environment, with an emphasis on improving patient care and encouraging physician professional development,” Dr. Hussain said of her decision to join Essentia Health.

Dr. Hussain earned her medical degree from Isra University in Hyderabad, Pakistan. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Toledo in Ohio.

“I was drawn to pediatrics because of the ability to form lasting relationships with patients and their families, as well as having the opportunity to equip children with the skills and knowledge to make informed decisions about their own health,” she said. “I believe in patient-centered medicine and shared decision making. I prioritize listening to patients’ concerns and addressing them appropriately.”
