Essentia Health-32nd Avenue Clinic Welcomes New Cardiothoracic Surgery PA

Quynh Pham, a certified physician assistant, has joined the Essentia Health-32nd Avenue Clinic to practice cardiothoracic surgery.

“I chose Essentia Health because we care for our patients like family, friends and neighbors,” said Pham, who has worked as a surgical technician at Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes for three years. “I wanted to continue working at Essentia because I believe in what we do for our communities.”

Pham received his education from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

“To me, surgery is the only area in medicine where we can immediately heal our patients,” said Pham. “There is something to be said when we can do this with only our hands. To be able to do this with the human heart, where the patient has complete faith in you, is what drew me to cardiothoracic surgery.”
