Essentia Health-Mid Dakota Bismarck Gateway Clinic Welcomes Dermatology Specialist Sydney Backsen

The Essentia Health-Mid Dakota Bismarck Gateway Clinic is proud to welcome Sydney Backsen, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in dermatology.

“I immediately liked Essentia’s mission statement: making a healthy difference in people’s lives,” explained Backsen, who grew up in North Dakota and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Mary. “The people who have helped me along the way have been so friendly and efficient. I have had a good experience with Essentia from my initial phone call.”

Backsen received her medical education from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“I have always had a special interest in dermatology, and I especially enjoy procedures and preventive care,” said Backsen. “I believe we are here to help other people. Every day I hope to help someone in my practice and learn something new.”
