Essentia Health-Fargo Welcomes Neonatologist Dr. Rushabh Shah

Essentia Health-Fargo is proud to welcome neonatologist Dr. Rushabh Shah.

“I was drawn to the NICU at Essentia Health because it allows me the opportunity to treat a diverse patient population with both routine and complex neonatal conditions,” said Dr. Shah. “Additionally, the community at Essentia Health instantly made me feel welcome and showed a true sense of camaraderie.”

Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Albany Medical Center and fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.

“From my first day in the NICU, I was inspired by the strength that even the tiniest of babies have to keep fighting,” said Dr. Shah. “I am proud to be able to care for neonates and build a bond with their families to help guide them through both the happiest and most stressful of times. Despite all the challenges in the NICU, the best part of my job is the day I get to send a newborn home with their family.”
