Essentia Health-Fargo Welcomes Gastroenterology Specialist Rachel Dehoogh

Rachel DeHoogh, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in gastroenterology, is excited to join Essentia Health-Fargo.

“Essentia Health has been a wonderful place to continue my career,” explained DeHoogh, who has worked with Essentia for over 10 years. “The colleagues, teamwork and family-like environment made me want to continue working with this wonderful organization.”

DeHoogh received her medical education from North Dakota State University. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“I chose gastroenterology as I find it to be a broad specialty with continuing medical advances,” said DeHoogh. “I wanted to work with many different groups of patients and appreciate the mix of both clinic and hospital.”

“I enjoy getting to know my patients and watching them improve as well as the fast-paced nature of acute GI cases,” she added. “I also enjoy helping patients find the root causes of their problems and helping find relief and management for their GI concerns. I look forward to getting to know each patient as a person.”
