Essentia Health-Fargo Welcomes Emergency Medicine Specialist Joshua Zetocha

Essentia Health-Fargo is excited to welcome certified physician assistant Joshua Zetocha, who specializes in emergency medicine.

“I previously worked as a paramedic in Fargo and Breckenridge,” said Zetocha, who also actively serves in the Navy reserves. “I frequently brought patients to Essentia and was always impressed with the personal approach providers had with their patients. The ER providers were always approachable and seemed to really enjoy what they did.”

Zetocha received his medical education from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

“Emergency medicine has always been an interest to me,” said Zetocha. “Every day is unpredictable and potentially different from the day before. I like going into work and not knowing who or what the day will bring. There is an old saying that if you are in emergency medicine, you are seeing people on the worst day of their life. If I can be a part of that day and make it even a little bit better, then I can go home every day knowing I made a positive impact in our community.

“My goal is to be as approachable as possible. I want to be somebody that you feel comfortable turning to for help, and I want you to feel that you have a voice in your medical care.”
