Essentia Health-Fargo Welcomes Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr. Judah Askew

Essentia Health-Fargo is excited to welcome Dr. Judah Askew, who specializes in cardiothoracic surgery.

“I chose to go into cardiothoracic surgery for its unique technical challenges, and cardiovascular conditions are one of the most prevalent and deadliest diseases we face,” explained Dr. Askew.

Dr. Askew received his medical degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland. He completed a residency in general surgery at Tufts Medical Center and a residency in cardiac surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He is certified to practice cardiothoracic vascular surgery.

“I work with all areas of adult cardiac surgery, but I specialize in diseases of the aorta (aneurysm) and heart valves,” said Dr. Askew. “I have specialized training and experience in mitral valve repair.”
