Dr. Codi Guck, who specializes in pain medicine, is excited to join the Essentia Health-32nd Avenue Clinic.

“I feel Essentia’s mission of making a healthy difference in people's lives closely aligns with my own personal mission as a health care provider,” explained the Fargo-Moorhead native. “My goal is to provide therapies that can improve my patients’ pain and subsequently improve their quality of life. Essentia puts people first, and that was something I was really looking for.”

Dr. Guck earned his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Iowa. He completed a residency and fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

“Anesthesiology and pain medicine have always been interesting to me,” said Dr. Guck. “I enjoy the procedural aspect of the job while also being able to build clinical relationships with patients. The field of interventional pain medicine is one that is constantly evolving, and I find that to be exciting and rewarding to be able to offer things to my patients that maybe weren’t available in the past.

“I truly give every patient my best. I understand the responsibility that comes with being a provider, and I am somebody that they can trust with their loved one.”
