Enhanced Cancer Care Expands to Rural Nebraska
Community Hospital is proud to announce its official membership in the Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC), a national organization dedicated to improving the quality and accessibility of cancer care across the United States. This milestone marks a significant advancement in oncology services for southwest Nebraska, northwest Kansas, and the surrounding region.
As a member of ACCC, Community Hospital gains access to a nationwide network of cancer care professionals, cutting-edge research, and best practices in oncology treatment and patient support. This affiliation will empower the hospital to further elevate its standards of care, enhance staff training, and expand access to innovative therapies and clinical trials.
“This is a major step forward for our patients and our community,” said William Goodenkauf, new Oncology Services Director at Community Hospital. “Joining the ACCC allows us to bring the latest in cancer care to rural Nebraska, ensuring our patients don’t have to travel far from home to receive world-class treatment. It’s about equity, access, and compassion.”
The hospital’s oncology program has steadily grown in recent years, offering chemotherapy, infusion therapy, radiation treatments, and other supportive care services. With this new partnership, Community Hospital is poised to expand its offerings and collaborate more closely with regional and national cancer centers.
