Dakota State University and LifeScape to Host Joint Press Conference Announcing Innovative Partnership Initiative

Dakota State University (DSU) and LifeScape will hold a joint press conference to announce a groundbreaking partnership project.

Wednesday, October 15, 2025 – 10:00 a.m.

Madison Cyber Labs or the MadLabs® Facility, Dakota State University, Madison, SD

LifeScape and DSU’s AdapT Lab are collaborating to develop innovative safety clothing designed to support professionals who work closely with individuals who may, at times, express themselves through behaviors such as biting or pinching. The project combines LifeScape’s real-world direct care of people supported expertise with DSU’s advanced research and prototyping capabilities to create garments that look and feel like regular clothing but contain discreet protective elements.

The press conference will share more details about the project’s vision, upcoming pilot testing, and the important role of this partnership in addressing safety across the industry.
