Dr. Ashlesha Kaushik Honored with Excellence in Education Award by American Academy of Pediatrics

UnityPoint Clinic proudly announces Ashlesha Kaushik, MD, a pediatric infectious disease specialist, has been honored with the Excellence in Education Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) at its National Conference.
"Dr. Kaushik’s dedication to advancing pediatric health makes a meaningful impact in Siouxland and beyond," says Lynn Brown, vice president of clinic operations. "We are lucky to have her as part of our provider team.”
Dr. Kaushik’s recognition adds to a growing list of prestigious appointments and awards. She serves as Vice President (President-Elect) of the Iowa AAP, Chair of the Infectious Diseases Committee for Iowa AAP and is a member of the AAP’s National Leadership Section on Infectious Diseases Education Committee. She was also invited to review the AAP Red Book, a leading global resource for infectious diseases.
In addition to her leadership roles, Dr. Kaushik was recently invited as visiting faculty at Harvard for her work with AAP and the CDC. Her research project is currently nominated for Best Research Award at Harvard Medical School.
