Destinee Schmitz, MD, Joins McFarland Clinic Pediatrics

Destinee Schmitz, MD

McFarland Clinic is pleased to announce that Destinee Schmitz, MD, has joined McFarland Clinic’s Pediatric department in Ames. 

Dr. Schmitz received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Preparation for Human Medicine at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Schmitz completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. 

As a pediatrician, Dr. Schmitz will provide well-child care for children from birth through adolescence. She will offer immunizations, treatment for minor injuries, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
