Derek Weninger, a certified physician assistant, is excited to join the Essentia Health-32nd Avenue Clinic to practice orthopedic surgery.

“Joining Essentia Health aligns with my career goals of delivering exceptional orthopedic care, and I feel that I will be professionally supported during my career,” said Weninger.

Weninger received his education from Des Moines University in Iowa and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

“I was drawn to orthopedics because I’ve always loved anatomy and am a very hands-on learner,” explained Weninger. “I enjoy seeing patients improve and knowing their lives are positively impacted by the care we provide.”
