Columbus Community Hospital Releases Cardiopulmonary Rehab Report

Columbus Community Hospital has released the 2025-26 annual report on its cardiopulmonary rehabilitation department, which continues to have a big impact on patients.

“Our team members build lasting relationships with patients,” said Dona Kudron, MSN, RN, director of the department. “Their dedication and compassion make a profound difference.”

The department includes three programs: the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program and the Medical Wellness Program. Patients who complete their rehab can continue exercising in the department for a fee, as can other members of the community.

In the past fiscal year, the department had:

  • 2,435 cardiac rehab visits

  • 744 pulmonary rehab visits

  • 6,433 wellness visits

  • 541 stress tests performed

The annual report includes these numbers, plus testimonials from both a cardiac and a pulmonary rehab patient. Both testimonials report that patients received individualized treatment plans that included medically supervised exercise and education sessions.

Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, Kudron said, is more of a partnership than a program, because team members empower patients with tools, knowledge and confidence to improve their health.

“I am continually inspired by the successes we celebrate together,” she said.
